The ASA Bargaining Team met with representatives from the Board of Governors (BOG) to continue negotiations. The following articles were reviewed and discussed:

Article 1: Definitions

  • 1.1.xx – Non-Instructional Days (new provision)

Article 7: Assignment of Duties

  • 7.1.3 – Reassignment of Duties
  • 7.2.3 – Reassignment Parties

Article 8: Conditions Governing Salary Entitlements

  • 8.3.6 – Increments at Initial Appointment
  • 8.7.1 – Increase to Salary Grid & Term of Contract

Article 9: Determination of Academic Responsibilities

  • 9.2.1(a) – Asynchronous Instruction
  • 9.2.1(b) – Workload Table
  • 9.2.2.1 – Librarian Workload
  • 9.2.2.2 – Continuing Education Assignments
  • 9.2.5 – Ten-Month Duties

Article 10: Leaves and Benefits

  • 10.2.2 – Vacation
  • 10.8 – Alberta Health
  • 10.9.3.2 – Health Benefits
  • 10.19.1 – Health Spending Account

Substantial agreement was reached on several items discussed during this meeting.
