Bargaining Update #20

Meeting Date: May 12, 2025

The ASA Bargaining Team met with the BOG representatives on May 12 and discussed the following articles:

A complete review of all collective agreement articles was conducted to ensure accurate documentation of past agreements and article status (Agreed, Reverted, or Dropped) from previous meetings.

  • 10.15 Tuition Waiver
  • 9.2.2.3 Research Release Time

Bargaining Update #21

Meeting Date: May 21, 2025

The ASA Bargaining Team met with the BOG representatives on May 21 and discussed the following articles:

  • 9.2.1(a) Synchronous
  • 9.2.1(b) Workload Table
  • 8.7.1 Salary
  • Contract Term
  • 10.15 Tuition Waiver
  • 10.19.1 Health Spending Account
  • 10.16 Individual Professional Enhancement
  • Appendix III: Individual Professional Enhancement Fund

Results:

  • Article 8.7.1 (Salary Adjustments) was agreed to by both parties.
  • The contract term was also agreed to by both parties.

Next Steps

As of the May 21 Meeting

  • ASA has three articles remaining open; all others have been discussed and resolved.
  • BOG has two articles and one appendix remaining open; all others have been discussed and resolved.

After 11 months of negotiations and 16 meetings, ASA and BOG are now jointly applying for mediation to resolve the remaining articles.
